KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION 2015
KAWARTHA PINE RIDGE DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
Registration is taking place NOW for Junior and Senior Kindergarten programs starting in September 2015. Kindergarten is a special and exciting time where children learn through structured play. Children’s early learning experiences have a profound effect on their development. In Junior and Senior Kindergarten, children learn through investigation, exploration and guided instruction. Our schools offer excellent programming for your child’s academic, social, emotional and language development.
WHY SHOULD I REGISTER NOW?
Kawartha Pine Ridge DSB begins the registration program as early as possible, to support your child’s transition to formal schooling. Once registered at your local school, you will receive information and resources throughout the year, and be invited to school information evenings to welcome you to your new school community.
Registration information is also critical in determining the number of teachers we need at each school. If registration happens late, or not at all, there may be delays in getting the right number of teachers at your school. This can result in a larger class initially for your child, or your child may have a different teacher after the first week if classes must be reorganized. We want to make sure everything is in place to help your child succeed in and enjoy Kindergarten.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
Please contact your local school for a registration package. If you are not sure which school your child should attend, please call 705-742-9773, ext. 2127 or toll-free at 1-877-741-4577.
